This book was published in 1889 and has some older history on Concord School, Cliveden (an entire section as Chew House), and Wyck, unfortunately there is nothing on the Maxwell Mansion.
It is a fully digitized google book, available in PDF format as well.

The Following is a list of resources relating to the Germantown Area, most are about racial relations and community engagement.
Germantown has been a vibrant neighborhood, and still is today (in different ways).
On the left side, you will see a list of "keywords" that should help you find the posts you are looking for.
Of course you are also welcome to browse the archives or search the blog yourself (both are on the right)
